The Study Of The Writing Of ChangNing Country Annals And The Local Clan In The Qing Dynasty

In 1980s the revival of social history,more and more scholars pay attention to the value of local history's historical materials,and they use those materials to reconstruct the process of local social history.The local history is a kind of local documents,and it not only describe people's expression and cognition to the history,but also is a part of local history.As the revival of social history and the impact of post-modern theories,the scholars use local annals as a text to construct history.They deconstruct the producing process of local annals to explore the relationship of compilation of local annals and rural gentry,social eliminate-disorder,government control,local clan and cultural identity and so on.They tried to exposit the social historic status,power relation and intention concept.This article chooses to study country annals which closes the lower people,the writer will explore the relationship of writing annals and local clan through ChangNing country annals.concretely speaking,based on raveling out the origin of ChangNing country annals' writing,we classify the local clan into three categories: crescendo clan,decrescendo clan and stable mighty clan,and we will explore the relationship of those clans and annals writing process.Through the history of ChangNing country annals compiling,it had been rewritten 6 times from Ming dynasty to Qing dynasty,and in Ming dynasty,it had been rewritten i time,in Qing dynasty,it had been rewritten 5 times,and the annals was continued written,revise and enlarge and overprinted.ChangNing was a area who were interested in the idea of patriarchal clan.There were crescendo clan,decrescendo clan and stable mighty clan.Through reconstructing the annals,Ye clan,Liu clan and Zeng clan tried to take part in the reconstruction process,and the relationship of Qing dynasty ChangNing country annals writing and local clan reflected in the following three aspects: firstly,the control of writing ChangNing country annals had been changed,the local elites took the opportunity to reconstruct the local culture.secondly,the force of local clan had influence on the annals' writing,thirdly,the clan who had the force to write the annals,they would add their clan's history to the annals to reconstruct their clan's image.In a word,country annals,prefecture topography recorded some original historical materials which not recorded in the history books written in biographical style,but some local annals had been added in the writer's intention,so that,when scholars take local annals as historical materials,they should be cautious.
