The figure of speech,as an important part in rhetoric,is an important tool aimed at the enhanced artistic effect of language expression. No matter it's in oral language, written language,Chinese or Uyghur, the figure of speech is one rhetorical device that's frequently used.In this article, the author,on the basis of a summary of related research results, analyzed different types of sentences, including similes, metaphors and metonymies,in translations from Chinese into Uyghur, with translations of The Ricksha Boy and Wild Grass serving as two examples, and summarized translation methods as well as features.According to this, the author explained how to refer to predecessors' translation methods as well as features when related contents in Shanxi Opera were translated. When a corresponding expression can be found in Uyghur, literal translation is used.In this situation, both the tenor and the vehicle in Uyghur are respectively the same as those in Chinese,so information and emotion in the original text can be conveyed to readers of the translated version in a brief and effective way. When the figure of speech is associated with a culture, there will be no complete correspondence, and free translation is often used.In this way,the translation can be close to cultural features and the aesthetic taste of readers of the translated version, who can therefore have basically the same feeling in the figure of speech as readers of the original text. Therefore, information in the original text can be conveyed well, and the effect of expression can be shown.
