A Report On The Translation Of Rumble In The Jungle-Leadership From An African Perspective(Excerpts)

This is a report on the translation of Rumble in the Jungle--Leadership from an African Perspective,an autobiography of an African entrepreneur,which has both the features of an informative text and those of an expressive text by containing a lot of statement of facts,ideas and personal account of experience of the original author.In this translation report,selected examples are given with comparison and analysis to illustrate the translation methods and techniques used in the translation.The analysis is carried out with the help of Katharina Reiss' s text typology and Eugene A.Nida's functional equivalence theory,from which meaningful conclusions are hoped to be drawn and references to be provided for the future translation of such type of texts.
