Study On The Construction "Bu Xiang Dang X De Y Bu Shi Hao Y/Z"

As a new kind of grammar theory,construction has attracted the attention of scholars and has opened up new perspectives to solve many grammatical phenomena since it was introduced into China at the end of the last century.Based on a lot of corpus and related construction theory,the paper focus on the epidemic construction“ bu xiang dang X de Y bu shi hao Y/Z” and endeavors to analyze the characteristic of the construction in outside form,semantic relation and pragmatics,and diachronic development.From the outside form,we conclude that the construction is composed of stable part “bu shi” “hao”,semi-stable part“bu” “xiang” “dang” and flexible part “X” “Y” and “Z”.From the perspective of internal relations,the construction can be divided into two categories: the expetant relational construction “bu xiang dang X de Y bu shi hao Y”,and the counter-expectant relational construction “bu xiang dang X de Y bu shi hao Y/Z”.Semantically,this construction expresses praise and motivation.And,the expetant relational construction emphasizes “encourage X towards Y”.It is usually used as an argument in the article.The counter-expectant relational construction is used as tiles,emphasizng on praise and encourging others to diversify development.The construction underwent the evolution of “old grammatical construction——rhetoric construction — — new grammatical construction ”.The evolution mechanism includes: the metaphor mechanism leading to the formation of construction form,the conceptual blending mechanism facilitating the evolution of expetant relational construction into the counter-expectant relational construction,and the analogy mechanism that makes us largely imitate and use construction.The reasons for the evolution include the economic principle of language,the change of cognitive,and the psychology of seeking for different.
