"Look At The Part/face Of X" Construction Study

This paper is mainly based on the construction grammar theory,combining three planes and cognitive grammar theory to study the construction “look at the part/plane of X”,which is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly explains the original topic,research object,research summary,research methods and expected sources.The second chapter is the study of various construction elements,and analyzes the influence of component “look”,“in”and “part/aspect” on construction meaning generation,as well as the syntactic category and semantic characteristics of variable “X”.The third chapter is the analysis of the syntactic and semantic functions and diachronic evolution of constructions.The fourth chapter is an analysis of the pragmatics of constructions,which examines the contextual relevance,the applicable style and the discourse function of constructions.Chapter five is the conclusion.It summarizes the syntax,semantics,pragmatic function and diachronic development of construction.
