Design And Application Of Nine Garden Dynamic Signs In Suzhou

In the year 1997 and 2000,nine well-preserved Suzhou Gardens were inscribed upon the “World Natural and Cultural Heritage”,including Zhuozheng Garden,Liu Garden,Wangshi Garden,Huanxiu Shanzhuang Garden,Canglang Pavilion,Lion Forest Garden,Garden of C ultivation,Couple Garden and Tuisi Garden.These nine Gardens are together called the N ine Suzhou Gardens.C urrently,the N ine Suzhou Gardens are not only indeed in the need of our delicate maintenance,but also need us to spread out the Garden culture,which force us to establish a distinctive Garden image to attract more travelers' attention centering on the symbol.Based on the more convenient,more quickly and more effective features of new media,we have to accept all kinds of information's attack and be in an age of “reading image”.In the meanwhile,with the development of science and technology,the graphic design has broken through the two-dimensional space and expanded to the three-dimensional space.The time-space feature and technical methods have provided rich design room for designers and brought us the dynamic symbol.The emergence of dynamic symbol is a kind of static symbol's expansion with respect to time-dimension ans space-dimension.The dynamic expression enhanced the visual attraction and temptation,such kind of visual experience is exactly what we are pursuing at this “reading image” age.From the point of dynamic symbol's definition and origin,this research deeply analyzes dynamic symbol's current situation,effect and development tendency.Combined with the new media age's features and excellent cases' analysis,it also provides a conception of dynamic symbol based on the full investigation of the N ine Suzhou Gardens.During the design practice,it firstly explores the design method of the N ine Suzhou Gardens' dynamic symbol image from these three aspects of the extract of the N ine Suzhou Gardens' representative elements,abstract of the storytelling history and the conclusion of different Garden-building technique.Secondly,it shows the N ine Suzhou Gardens' dynamic symbol through the concrete design practice of dynamic symbol's moving pattern and track,and analyzes its application value and significance.
