Influenced by many factors,classroom teaching is the main form and even the only form in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Students basically contact and learn Chinese through class.It can be said that classroom teaching embodies the process of overseas Chinese teaching,and group activity is one of the most common methods in teaching Chinese.Group activity is different from the traditional teaching methods,it emphasizes student-centered,trying hard to set up a relatively real language environment for learners,and providing more opportunities to use the Chinese,at the same time it also can active students,help them relieve anxiety,and stimulate learning motivation.However,in the actual classroom teaching process,there are still some problems in group activities,and the effectiveness of group activities needs to be improved.We did a study about the effectiveness of group activities with elementary level Chinese learners in the middle school of Sofia.This paper is divided into three parts:Firstly,make a introduce about the use of the group activities in class teaching,and then choose some typical cases that occurred in the classroom group activities,reflecting the deficiencies and its' reasons.Secondly,through the questionnaires and interviews,we want to carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis of group activities from several aspects,which are the situation of group activity,students' views on group activities,students' perception of group activities,students' evaluation of the effectiveness of group activities,and teachers' role in the group activities.So as to design and use the group activities more effectively.Finally,combined with case analysis and questionnaire survey,we summarizes the possible problems of using group activities in classroom teaching,and analyzes the factors that influence the effectiveness of group activities from these three aspects:teacher,student and activity.We think that in primary level,we should use group games in the classroom,and the group works not only should be closely combined with the content,but also with students'daily life.In addition,teachers should provide timely help for students and pay more attention to feedback and summary after activities.More importantly,teachers should let students pay more attention to what they learn,not the form of activities.
