| This study explores the relationship between parental rearing styles,inferiority and social anxiety among college students in China and Korea.This investigation uses Parental Rearing Questionnaire(EMBU),The Feelings of In adequacy Scale(FIS)and the Interaction Anxiousness Scale(IAS)the following concl usions were drawn;(1)Characteristics of parenting styleComparing Chinese and Korean parenting styles,mother “refused to deny "," sever e punishment " scores of China's college students scored significantly higher than Kore an students.Mother's " emotional warmth,understanding "," excessive interference "," ove rprotective " score of Korean college students scored significantly higher than Chinese college students.Father's " emotional warmth,understanding ",mother's " emotional war mth,understanding," " excessive interference "," overprotective " score of South Korea's n on-singleton children scored significantly higher than China's only one-child.In the mo ther “refused to deny","severe punishment" score of China's non-one-child score signif icantly higher than South Korea is not one-child.(2)The characteristics of inferiorityComparative study found that in the "inferiority score","self-esteem","appearance inferiority" on the existence of nationality differences,Chinese college students scored significantly lower than Korean students.Korea freshman,junior,senior in the “appea rance inferiority” score is significantly higher than the Chinese freshman,junior,senior.The "self-esteem inferiority" score of freshmen in China is significantly lower than th at in Korea freshman.The Chinese college students from the city are obviously inferi or to the Korean college students in their "inferiority of study" and "appearance inferi ority".The “appearance inferiority" score of Chinese college students from towns is o bviously lower than that of Korean college students.(3)Characteristics of social anxietyComparing China and South Korea,the social anxiety score of Korean college st udents is significantly higher than that of Chinese college students.(4)The relationship between parental rearing style and inferiority of Chinese and Korean college students.There is a significant correlation between the parenting style and inferiority of Chinese and Korean college students.Chinese college students,the mother "emotional warmth,understanding" can reduce the college students "inferiority",mother "excessive interference,excessive protection","refused to deny" will lead to college students "inferiority." South Korean university students,the father "emotional warmth,understanding" can reduce the college students,the mother "excessive interference,excessive protection" "refused to deny",parents "severe punishment" can lead to college students "inferiority."(5)The relationship between inferiority and social anxiety of Chinese and Korean college studentsThere was a significant positive correlation between the inferiority of Chinese and Korean college students and social anxiety.The "inferiority" of Chinese and Korean college students can lead to social anxiety.Chinese college students,"social inferiority","physical inferiority" can be in the "social anxiety" level.South Korean university students,"inferiority score" "from humble inferiority" and "appearance inferiority" can be in the "social anxiety" level.(6)The relationship between parental rearing style and social anxiety of Chinese and Korean college studentsIn China,the father's "emotional warmth and understanding" can reduce the level of "soc ial anxiety" among college students.While the mother's "excessive interference,excessive pro tection" can lead to college students ' social anxiety.In South Korea,the mother "refuses to de ny" that Korean students can cause "social anxiety" in college students. |
