The Jay Treaty,an important treaty in early American history,had a broad impact on American politics,economy and diplomacy at that time,especially in terms of early partisan struggles in the United States.In the face of England hostile action,the Democratic Republican claimed that use commercial sanctions retaliation for the British;the Federalist advocated military defense.After the signing of the treaty,the Democratic Republican party attempted to cancel the treaty because of they were dissatisfied with the treaty.But the Federalist believed that this was already the best results can be achieved.The argument on the Jay Treaty between the two parties revealed that the two parties' foreign policy are different,but in fact their ideological both conflict and complement each other.They are indispensable for the development of the United States.The American political,economic,diplomatic policy tends to perfect during the party struggles.
