The aim of this interpretation project is to have a consecutive interpretation on the sub-forum called Digital Transformation in 2016 Summer Davos.Themed as“Industrial Transformation”,this sub-forum invited six CEOs from different international corporations as a panelist and they have a discussion on this theme in the form of on-site forum. In the interpretation onsite forum, both the host and guests have improvisational questions and discussions;therefore, the conversations are typical oral communications.Based on the above features, the difficulty of this project is that in the dialogic discourse, too much redundancy in the source language hampers the delivery of high quality interpretation. After analyzing the redundancy in the speakers' speeches, this report classifies redundancy as grammatical redundancy, semantic redundancy and cultural redundancy. Therefore, this report tries to find corresponding solutions to them. This report takes Interpretive Theory as its theoretic base, which divides interpretation process into three stages:understanding, deverbalization and expression.According to Interpretive Theory, interpreter needs to avoid the forms of the source language.Instead,he should express the meaning of source language in the context. To achieve this purpose, this report tries to propose three ways:omission for grammatical redundancy and semantic redundancy, replacement for semantic redundancy and paraphrasing for cultural redundancy.
