The idiom is the treasure of Chinese culture,foreign students fascinated it,but also feel difficult to learn idioms.The most direct basis for the students to learn idioms is the textbook.The textbook is the link between teachers and students,and the quality of textbook affects the quality of teaching and the learning efficiency of the students.The arrangement of the idioms in the textbooks not only provides basis teaching idioms for teachers,but also provide learning materials for students.Therefore,we should pay attention to the arrangement of the idioms in the textbook,and the compiling of the textbooks will affect the efficiency of the learners.Idioms appear in the middle and advanced stages,therefore,this article will choose the advanced textbook,present the statistics and analysis of the idiom in the textbook,in order to improve the arrangement of idioms in the textbook and provide convenience for teachers and students.In this paper,we will study the idioms in the Developing Chinese and the Appreciation: Advanced Chinese,in order to improve the quality of textbook and promote the progress of the teaching of idioms.The whole paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter introduces the reason of choosing the topic,the significance of the research,the research status and the research methods.The reasons for choosing the topic mainly introduce the current situation of Chinese students studying in China and the importance of textbook.The significance of the research is discussed from the perspective of improving textbook and providing convenience for teachers and students.The research status is mainly explained from two aspects,one is the research of idioms ontology aspects including the definition of idiom,the cultural connotation of idioms,the characteristics of idioms,comparison of Chinese and foreign idioms,idiom dictionary compilation,idiom interpretation and origin.The other is the study of idioms in the field of Chinese as a foreign language,including the teaching of idioms and the arrangement of idioms in textbooks.The second chapter classifies the idioms according to source of idioms.The source of idioms included myths and fables,historical events,celebrity slang,proverb,poetry,foreign cultural.In the following chapters,this paper expounds how to compile the interpretation of idioms and idiom exercises.The third chapter examines the arrangement of idioms in the textbooks,discussing the reappearance of the idioms in textbook,the collection of idioms,interpretation of idioms,idiom exercises.The fourth chapter analyzes and puts forward some suggestions from the following aspects: the number of the reappearance of idioms in textbook,the collection of idioms,the interpretation of idioms and idiom exercises.This chapter analyzes the research content and draws the conclusion that textbook has lower recurrence rate of idioms,the collection of idioms is random,idiom interpretation is not accurate,the idiom exercises is lack of pertinence,lacking of communicative practice,this article puts forward some feasible suggestionsFinally,the paper summarizes the full text and points out the shortcomings of the study.
