In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the Chinese-language teaching in the UK.At present,there are 29 Confucius institutes and nearly 130 classrooms in the UK,and the number of people learning Chinese have been increasing year by year.London,the capital of Britain,currently has nearly a hundred schools offering Chinese language courses.However,consulting and looking up relevant literature,we found that researches and studies on Chinese language teaching are seldom and those on the "Teachers,Teaching materials,Teaching methods" of Chinese-language teaching in London are few.From June 2016 to July 2017,I had a Chinese teaching practice in Confucius College of traditional Chinese medicine.By using this opportunity,I made some research and analysis on the"Teachers,Teaching materials,Teaching methods" of Chinese-language teaching in London.In this study,we investigated twelve Confucius classrooms in London's six Confucius institutes and surveyed thirty-eight Chinese teachers and 218 students by questionnaires,classroom observations and interviews.From the three aspects of teachers,teaching methods,teaching materials,we qualitatively analyzed the problems existing in Chinese Teachings,found out the problems and proposed relevant countermeasures.The paper has four chapters.Its introduction mainly introduces the reason of choosing this topic,the purpose and significance of the research and research methods and literature review.The first chapter introduces the overall design of the survey,the scope and object of the investigation,and the contents and procedures of the investigation.The second chapter analyzes and censuses the survey result through questionnaire survey,classroom observation,and interviews and presents them in the form of chart,histogram,bar charts and tables,etc.The third chapter aims to find out the problems existing in "Teachers,Teaching materials,Teaching methods" of Chinese-language through statistical analysis of the survey results.And we found that there are some problems existing among teachers,such as the shortage of Chinese teachers,the requirement of improvement of teachers' teaching level,the lack of teachers' training and insufficient training time.There are some problems in teaching methods,such as the medium language English adding the difficulty in teaching,lack ofa specific teaching plan,and unreasonable use of teaching methods.Problems existing in teaching materials mainly including the lack of local teaching materials,content is not precise,applicability of Chinese textbooks is not good and the content arrangement is unreasonable.The fourth chapter is divided into two parts: the first part is the analysis of the existing problems and the corresponding solutions and suggestions.The second part is the enlightenment of the survey to Chinese teaching in the UK.
