The Chinese language teaching in the Philippines has a unique light in Chinese teaching in the world because of its long history of development and rich teaching achievements.In the new historical period,the teaching of Chinese in the Philippines has also emerged a new situation,which are closely related to the three aspects of teachers,teaching materials and teaching methods.The author was appointed by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban as a Chinese volunteer teacher in the Philippines for ten months,taking Davao Christian High School and University of Batangas for example,starting from the "Three Teaching" problem through the literature review method,questionnaire survey,case study and other research methods to contrast and analyze the difference of the Chinese language teaching between the Chinese schools and the mainstream schools in the Philippines.Trying to find out the problems such as uneven level of teachers,teaching materials out of the local reality,rigid teaching methods of these two different types of schools.Meanwhile,giving some corresponding solving proposals in aspect of the teachers training,teaching materials innovation,teaching methods improvement for the issues above in order to promote the Chinese language teaching in the Philippines.
