In the Edo period,kabuki costumes and popular costumes are not only an important part of the Edo cultural history and life history,but also an integral part of the history of Japanese costume.In this paper,the three parts describe the development the process of the Kabuki costumes and the masses,and the relationship between the two.The first part introduces the evolution of the costumes of the four stages in the early stage of Kabuki,as well as the evolution of the people's kosode and katugi in the early period.In order to attract the audience,the early Kabuki stage costumes emulated the luxurious "kabuki style".However,under the constraints of social and economic conditions,the clothing color of the broad masses is slightly dull,and the fabric is relatively cheap.With the development of the early Kabuki,the people began to regard Kabuki costumes as the leading fashion.These show that in the early Edo period,whether Kabuki costumes or people's clothing was affected by "kabuki style".In other words,there is a strong similarity between the two.The early Kabuki costumes was based on the early Edo costumes as the basis of the people's clothing,in turn,began to affect the changes in people's clothing and laid a solid foundation for luxury and splendid Genroku period costume culture.The second part introduces in the influence of Genroku culture and the financial support of the tyouninn,textile industry developed rapidly.Kabuki costume and the people entered the peak period of development.Whether Kabuki costumes or people's clothing is representative of the people's material and spiritual needs after a quick rich.In Genroku era,Kabuki costume formally changed artly and stylized,and people took the Chikawa Dlegarashiro family as the representative of the famous Kabuki clothing as Japan's most fashionable social fashion trendsetter.People continued to follow the Kabuki style,the impact of the development of people's clothing has the following characteristics: the style is more and more complete,the belt is more and more long,the sleeve is more and more broad,the decoration is more and more.The third part introduces in the impact of bakumatsu uneasy sociaty,bakumatsu Kabuki costume completed art and stylized changes and formed a complete set of wear system.On the one hand,the appearance of bakumatsu reflects the life of Japanese underclass society.Stage costumes were drawing a lot of inspiration from the lower people in clothing,which is closer to the daily life of people.However,on the other hand,with the decline of Tokugawa Shogunate's clothing,the artistic Kabuki costumes would gradually be backing away from people's lives.The people's clothing still regarded Kabuki costume as a fashion weathervane,following the trend of Kabuki fashion,which had a great impact on the style of public clothing from all aspects.At the same time by act of bakumatsu economy and save order,lower middle class people's clothing cloth was replaced by simple,cheap and durable cotton.It can be said that in the bakumatsu Kabuki costume and the popular dress were inseparably interconnected,mutually used for reference and foundation.However,with the completion of Kabuki stylized and artistic,the two began to take off.As an important part of the history of Japanese costume,kabuki costumes and people's clothing have both the inheritance and development relationship and great differences with other times.The two have the characteristics of the Edo period,and always represent the ideological and spiritual needs of the tyouninn people.Kabuki costumes and the common clothing rely on each other and interact with each other to jointly promote the development and evolution.
