Cultural teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.As countries' emphasis on culture has gradually increased,teaching Chinese as a foreign language has not only been limited to the training of ‘listening,speaking,reading,and writing' skills,students' needs for the cultural and spiritual field are also increasing.With regarding to the issues of cultural teaching,from the goal to the practice,some scholars have conducted detailed studies.In the content of cultural teaching,folk customs and folk culture are closely related to people's lives,and are the part of culture that best reflects customs.The first element of ‘the folk customs' of the middle school students' intermediate cultural readers(II)‘Chinese traditional culture and modern life'---New Year,taboos and adoration,Chinese style clothing,is a representative part of folk customs and folk culture.Therefore,this article takes the folk culture of this unit as an example,combines the practical experience of the author's own teaching of international students and various aspects of cultural teaching,through relevant literature research,we compared various teaching theories and methods,looked at cultural teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods,and tried to analyze the various aspects of cultural instructional design,give some suggestion at last.Through relevant literature research,comparing various teaching theories and methods,from the angles of cultural teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching principles and teaching methods,etc.,we try to analyze the various aspects of cultural instructional design.This article mainly includes six parts,separately analyze the teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods,text content and teaching reflection.According to the cultural goals of the International Chinese Teaching of the General Course for International Chinese Teaching(2014)and the content of the text of the first unit,the teaching goal is defined as two aspects: cultural knowledge and cross-cultural awareness.Whereas the teaching of cultural knowledge is the foundation,cross-cultural awareness training is a deeper level of cross-cultural competence training.Through the analysis of the above objectives,the direction of curriculum design can be determined and a good start for the selection of the next teaching content can be established.The choice of teaching content in the article mainly adopts the "3P culture" standard.As of now,this kind of cultural classification method is more scientific and covers more comprehensive.After classifying the content of the text,we can follow the principles of cultural education and use a variety of teaching methods to teach the cultural content to students flexibly.In the course of this instructional design,through the combination of theory and practice,students can learn Chinese culture better.At the same time,we can also discover the insufficiency of instructional design through practice,thereby improving the design and improving teachers' teaching ability.
