Peer group is one of the important factors in the personality and socialization development of children and adolescents.This research conducted six aspects which including:acting-out,anxious,withdrawn,learningproblem,frustration,tolerance,performance skills,and task completion as the indicators of school adaptation.The social cognitive map(SCM)is used to measure the peer group.The research would be aimed at adopting the school adaptation level of peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members based on hierarchical linear model(HLM).This longitudinal research include one-year-interval prediction(the school adaptation level of first grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in second grade;the school adaptation level of second grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in third grade;the school adaptation level of third grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in fourth grade),two-year-interval prediction(the school adaptation level of first grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in third grade the school adaptation level of second grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in fourth grade),three-year-interval prediction(the school adaptation level of first grade peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members in fourth grade).Research results: 1.group attribute has a significant effect on acting-out,learning problem,performance skills and task completion.2.The students form peer groups according to the similarity of individual characteristics.And there are significant differences in the adaptation level of the members in different peer groups.3.The school adaptation level of peer group can significantly predict the adaptation level of its members.4.With the extension of time span,the prediction effect of school adaptation between peer group and its members gradually weakened.The research would be aimed at adopting the school adaptation level of peer group to predict the school adaptation level of its group members.From the group aspect,this research can explain the influence of environment to individual more effectively.And the research also provided a theoretical basis for the study of peer group and the research of school adaptation.In the field of practice,this research provides great insight of peer group to the teachers and parents so that they can pay more attention to the influence of peer group to its members.At the same time,it has a practical significance to families and schools to exploring what factors can influence and predict school adaptation of adolescents in order to lead positive school adaptation and avoid negative school adaptation.
