The top band BEYOND wins its popularity from the 1980s to the early 1990s,which has been recognized as one of the most successful and influential bands in China.In popular musical circle where new singers and new songs constantly emerge,some singers and bands disappear quickly,while the songs of BEYOND can still be popular nowadays.Its popularity can not be separated with the charm of its songs,its members and its transmission mode.Along with the scientific development,the emergence of internet and the birth of new media,BEYOND has enjoyed an unprecedented development.This paper takes BEYOND the band BEYOND as the research subject.It has discussed communication effects of BEYOND through the analysis of communication elements,meaning,form,type and features of new media.The result of the research shows that subjects,communication modes and medium of BEYOND communication have changed and presented different features.As for the communication audiences,the role of audiences has changed.With regard to the communication channels,communication effects of BEYOND are mainly reflected through medium forms such as websites,virtual communities and podcasts of BEYOND.As to the communication mode,it has changed the liner one to the non-liner and decentralized one.During discussing the new media and communication effects,the author has also found some negative effects in the process of communication.In order to solve these problems,this article has proposed some suggestions.Generally speaking,the communication of new media has increased the number of audience,satisfied the dissemination needs of BEYOND,innovated the diffusion contents of BEYOND and expanded communication channels of BEYOND.
