1949 China's social transformation has prompted a large number of scholars came to Hong Kong,for those literati who came from the south,the double "edge" circumstance not only bring the changes of living habits,but also a kind of entanglement and recombination of our individual identity.This spiritual crisis is concentrated in the southern consciousness with various literary forms.Liu yichang showed his extraordinary qualities among the others even before 1949 or after 1949,his two experiences to HongKong made him changed his mentality from "Looking north" to "in HongKong".As for common crisis of the southern literaray identity,he was also constantly trying to reconstruct.And he injected the “Hong Kong elements" into the novel with the help of experimental technique,which formed a unique literary style.In this paper,the confusion and thought of Liu yichang's identity will be as a start,and then demonstrate the exploration of identity of Li yichang according to the consecution of “presentation of the identity problem—expression of the body dilemma—the start of the identity problem—the locality of the identity problem”."identity question-the body's plight expression,the identity of origin-'in sexual identity problem" illustrates the logical order of seeking the identity of liu yichang shows his extraordinary qualities.The introduction part firstly introduces the life trajectory of Liu yichang and outlines his basic situation before and after the arrival of the Honkong,which was the foundation for the further elaboration of the thoughts on his identity.Later,the concept of "southern writers" and "southern consciousness" are also sorted out.For the clarity of the both can not only replace the traditional study of "looking north central plains" to define the present situation of the southern writer writing,but also be able to further specific the special cultural condition of the representative authors,such as Liu.The basis of the second part for the paper generalizes the identity theory,which has been widely applied in the field of psychology,sociology,literature,etc.,and provided a new way of thinking about a lot of problems.From perspective of philosophical anthropology,this thesis chooses the reality of the Hong Kong's socialenvironment as the starting point,analysis for the causes of identity thinking and the performance in the novel.The last part summarizes the predecessors' study of Liu yichang,and discovers possibility of his or her identity,which can be used as a breakthrough to have a further discussion about the germination of HongKong's local literature in 60 s.The first chapter mainly explains the identity dilemma of Liu yichang's characters in books.He uses the richest tension "two-stage" form of expression to place the protagonist in the contradictory reality through the blend of " the past and future,fantasy and reality,white and black,witness and incompetent",which makes self-identity confusion in the greatest extent.The second chapter mainly discusses the physical representation of the identity dilemma in Liu yichang's novels.The characters in his novels seem to have an unspeakable helplessness and loss,which comes from a crisis of identity.Liu yichang transformed this kind of mental confusion into physical representation,which made the characters more realistic and added the writing space.Liu yichang's described the body changes with the modernism also made the anxiety in the sense of identity in novel more prominent.The third chapter explores the causes of the identity crisis.In 1948,Liu yichang,who came to the edge area from the cultural center,had a palpable sense of alienation in Hong Kong.As for HongKong's edge situation,Liu yichang suffered the homesickness,and his dream was hit again and again,all of these were also brought him a broad vision and new opportunity.The combination of resistance and power makes Liu yichang's identity anxiety and his novel writing unique.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the "Hong Kong Locality" of the character's crisis shown in the writing of liu yichang.The reason of being called “HongKong's literary father” is that Liu yichang not only retrospected the past in the period of searching for his identity,but also digged out the connotation of Hong Kong ' s literature,and his southern consciousness traditional view of the mainland also has been transformed into the pursuit of Hong Kong characteristics in the identity dispute.The paper starts from the macro and micro aspects: the macro analysis of the special cultural environment faced by liu yichang around 1949 shows the identity dilemma faced by him in the double marginal situation;Micro comb liu yichang shows his extraordinary qualities in the novel writing of the identity crisis of the characters and how to understand the context of cross-border identity and identity of Hong Kong,and in this kind of thinking he is how to promote Hong Kong culture aboriginality,and make his novel writing is Hong Kong,so as to present a different style of the novel.
