Textbook plays a very important role in language learning between teachers and students and it also has a great influence on learning effect.This essay focuses on textbook "Easy Chinese-Primary Chinese Intensive Reading",analyzes the textbook theoretically and practically,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook,and puts forward improvement suggestions and use directions after receiving the feedback from teachers and students.Introduction.First it introduces the development of textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language(TCSL)and the importance of primary intensive reading textbooks in Chinese learning.Later this paper reviews the present study status of the TCSL textbooks and finds that there is still much room for research in "Easy Chinese" textbooks.The study of this paper is based on previous studies.Last this paper introduces several kinds of research methods.Chapter One studies on compiling style of the textbook.This chapter gives a general introduction of the studies,including the teaching object,the writing purpose,the writing principle and the writing structure.The writing structure part shows the basic content of the textbook by illustration.Chapter Two analyses content of the textbook.According to "Chinese Long-term Study Curriculum for Foreign Students in Colleges and Universities","International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education" and "HSK Grading Standards and Grammar Outline",this chapter analyses details of the textbook such as new words,texts,grammar,culture,practice,summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook based on the analysis result.Chapter Three is questionnaires.This part analyses the true usage of the textbook through designing questionnaires,distributing questionnaires,and collecting questionnaires.There are two versions of the questionnaires,student version and teacher version,this part designs the details of the questionnaires from the aspects of new words,texts,grammar,culture and practice.According to the data result of the questionnaires,the writer summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the true usage of the textbook.This chapter is a supplement to the third chapter.Chapter Four is the improvement suggestions of the textbook and use directions.First improvement suggestions are put forward in each part of the textbook according to the questionnaire results,also the opinions of students and teachers are considered.Second by means of the combination between classroom teaching and textbook,use suggestions of the textbook are given to teachers.Last use suggestions are given to students from the angle of students.The writer hopes to provide reference for the writers,learners and teachers of primary intensive reading textbooks.
