At present,there are a lot of researches on children's social development,but there are few researches on the social development of the adult students.Vocational students are the important reserve talents in the country,shouldering the important task of promoting the modernization of the country.With the development of the national economy,the contemporary vocational students are facing more competition and employment pressure,many vocational students drop in difficult to adapt to social pressure and choose to escape.This paper aims to study the social development of vocational students,which is helpful to enrich the theory of developmental psychology,and provide reference for students training in Vocational colleges.This paper found that there was few researches on social development,parenting style and family function of vocational students based on a large number of literature review.So the survey was conducted in 312 students of some vocational specialties in a school,in order to discuss social development,parenting style and family function of vocational students.Through the analysis of variance,correlation analysis and regression analysis,we got the correlation of them,discuss the moderating effect of family function between parental rearing pattern and social development level,and then put forward the methods to improve the social development of vocational students.The conclusions of this study are as follows:First of all,the level of social development of vocational students is generally in the middle development,but there still is 23%of vocational students in social dalay at the same time.Secondly,there are significant differences in gender,homeplace and only children in the level of social development of Vocational students.There are significant differences in gender,grade,homeplace,only children and family structure in th parental rearing pattern of Vocational students.There are significant differences in family income in family functionof Vocational students.Thirdly,parenting style of vocational students in father's emotional warmth dimension,excessive protection dimension,mother's emotional warmth dimension have positive correlation with cognitive dimension,emotional dimensionsocial,behaviour dimension,social development level,there is a positive correlation between the functions of the family intimacy dimensions,the adaptation dimensions and social development level.The last,the family function of vocational students play a moderating role on the relationship between parental rearing pattern and social development:the excessive protection can positively predicts the social development level in high function of family.
