Background:Every organization wants employees to maintain a high level of work performance,but in reality,there are many factors that affect the performance of employees,including organization,working factors,and personal characteristics.Personality,as an individual's stable behavioral tendency,exerts a subtle influence on individual's job performance.Proactive personality is a personality trait that interacts with the environment,and attracts much attention in the field of work.In addition,the individual perception of self-worth also affects the individual's job performance.However,there is no research on the mechanism of the relationship between proactive personality,perceived self-worth and job performance.On the other hand,proactive personality is not only stable but also vulnerable to environmental influences.Therefore,this study intends to further examine the influence of job characteristics,especially recent work achievement,on proactive personality and perceived self-worth.Methods:Selecting the incumbency staff as the subjects,age,educational background and other demographic variables are not limited.We used the active personality questionnaire,the overall job performance questionnaire,the recent work achievement questionnaire and the self-worth perception questionnaire.A total of 304 valid questionnaires were screened out,including 134 males and 170 females.Result:(1)Proactive personality can positively predict job performance;(2)Positive personality is positively correlated with self-worth perception.(3)There is a positive correlation between Self-worth perception and job performance.(4)Self-worth perception plays an intermediary role in the relationship between proactive personality and job performance.(5)Recent work achievement plays a regulatory role in the relationship between active personality and self-value perception;when recent work is high,active personality has more significant predictive effect on self-value perception,while the predictive function of active personality to self-value perception is weakened when recent work is low.Conclusion;Employees' proactive personality not only affects their job performance,but also affects their perceived self-worth,and the effect of proactive personality on job performance can also play a mediating role through perceived self-worth.The impact of proactive personality on perceived self-worth is also mediated by recent work achievement.
