The majority of Korean-Chinese students currently studying at the school are Korean third-and fourth-generation immigrants.They are the backbone of the future Chinese Korean society.Their language attitude and language use have an important influence on the development of Korean-Chinese language society.Therefore,this paper takes Korean-Chinese college students as the main research target,based on the theory of sociolinguistics,this paper takes Yanbian University,which is more concentrated by Korean-Chinese college students,as the survey site,and selects 403 Korean-Chinese students of Grade 2013 to 2016 as the survey objects.The data are collected by the questionnaire survey method,matched-guise technique and deep interview survey method,and the data analysis is carried out by Excel and SPSS.The language attitude and language use of Korean-Chinese college students were studied.The results of the study show that in terms of language attitudes,Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students have a common sense of recognition of Korean and Chinese in terms of cognition;in terms of function,Chinese is slightly superior and Korean language is relatively weak;emotionally,the love of Korean is slightly higher than that of Chinese.Treatment of the three different variations of the Korean language--Korean,North Korean,and South Korean,their attitudes are very different:they have a positive attitude towards the status,function,and development prospects of Korean,followed by South Korean,and the North Korean language is more negative.In general,Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students have high loyalty to the national language,and they expect to inherit and develop the Korean language.Meanwhile,they affirm the leading role of Chinese in Chinese society and attach great importance to the study of Chinese.Language use is not only influenced by language attitudes,but also closely related to language proficiency.The survey results of language proficiency show that the Korean language ability and the Chinese language ability of Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students are not very different and are at a relatively high level.The South Korean language ability is second,and the North Korean language ability is at a relatively low level.Therefore,Korean and Chinese are the most widely used in daily life,followed by South Korean,and the use of North Korean language is rare.The Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students use different languages for different occasions and for different subjects.Most of Korean-Chinese college students use Chinese when they are with the Han nationality.In other cases(such as internal family and peer communication),most people use Korean as the first choice,but the use of Chinese is also very high.There are also a small number of people who choose to use Korean,but few people use North Korean.Unlike the older generation of Koreans,who mainly use Korean,Korean and Chinese have played the same important role for Korean-Chinese college students.This also shows the possibility of changes in the social language of the Korean-Chinese people:that is,the major language of Korean society in China is likely to change from Korean to Chinese over time.This article discusses the language attitude and language use of Korean Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students.Combining the survey results with the social environment and social development will help predict the direction of development and change of Chinese Korean language.At the same time,the study of language attitudes and language use of Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students have an understanding of the social-psychological characteristics of Korean-Chinese college students and the development of correct and practical language plans and educational programs that are appropriate for the proper handling of practical problems in the work of ethnic Chinese.Finally,this study fully demonstrated the language features of current Yanbian Korean-Chinese college students,and can provide relatively complete reference materials for related research and follow-up studies.
