Nowadays,less and less people would block out a chunk of time to read with the growing pace of life,while more and more people start to read with their fragmented time because of the change of lifestyle.What's more,the Mobile Internet as well as the Electronic Terminals has developed extremely rapidly in recent years,the public has get accustomed to obtaining information and reading by mobile phone and the information they read become fragmented,which means the existence of fragmented reading in human life.By referring to the academic articles,Internet and consumers,the writer found that a majority of people demand for reading printing books or other reading materials with their fragmented time under the background of fragmented reading instead of reading fragmented information or content that provided by mobile phone.Moreover,reading has been put emphasized by more and more country,nation and the public in recent years.Therefore,the content of fragmented reading that people read with their phone could not meet the needs of all the people.On the basis of this phenomenon,the apps that related to reading on the Mobile Terminal emerges in endlessly and the Electronic reading has developed rapidly.It has been found that many people has the demanding of reading printing paper with their fragmented time according to our research survey.People choose to use E-reader like Kindle or Mobile Terminal like mobile phone instead of printing books because those printing books tend to be very massive,which could not be taken expediently.Therefore,most of the printing books could not meet the needs of people who would like to read with all of their fragmented time.Therefore,this thesis analyzed the current situation of reading,fragmented time and the characteristics of readers according to this phenomenon,and then found out the real needs of readers,which could be meet by design that can make more people plunge to reading.
