The Study On Clan Culture Of Zhoushan's Fishing Rural Area

The study of clan has always been an important entry point to explore Chinese rural society and even Chinese society.Since modern times,the development of the clan has gone through many ups and downs.the clan once disappeared for a long time because of the changes of the social environment.In the 1980 s,the clan was rebuilt again,and the clan activities in many parts of our country were very active.The reconstruction of the clan is not a simple reproduction of the previous clan pattern,but a process of transformation.The reconstruction and transformation of the clan has sparked various speculation and criticism.The attitudes towards the change of the clan relates to every aspect of the construction of a new countryside,and China's social development and transformation in the future.The study of clan involves many things.How to guide their families to bring its positive effect into full play and reduce its negative effect,which can provide better service for the socialist modernization construction,should be the focus of our research.This thesis mainly focuses on cultural changes of Zhoushan's fishing and rural areas,and this thesis will take the extended Xu family which is in the Luxiaxu Village,Zhoushan City as the subject of the case study.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.This part mainly elaborates the original intention why I choose this theme as my Masters Dissertation and the great significance which the theme of my thesis itself has.Standing on the shoulders of giants can see further,so in this part I will also describe the results of previous studies on the research of clan.Theoretical basis and research methods of the study of clan will also be presented in this chapter.In the second part,this thesis mainly introduce the Luxiaxu Village and the extended Xu family,the subject of the case study,including its ancestral roots,position in the family hierarchy and branch,ancestral hall and genealogy.The third part mainly presents the process of the culture changes of the extended Xu family in the Luxiaxu Village,divided into three periods: before the founding of the People's Republic of China, from the founding of the People's Republic of China to carrying on reform and open policy,after the reform and open policy,showing the moderation transition of the extended Xu family as time goes on.The fourth part mainly through the study of the third part,generally generalizes the overall weakening of the extended Xu family,including its management structure and functions,then mainly discusses the reasons for the change of the extended Xu family's cultural changes from the political,economic and cultural aspects.The sixth part mainly elaborates the positive and negative influence of the extended Xu family in the rural modernization construction,and finally discusses how to maximize its positive influence and weaken its negative influence.
