This is a report on the translation of chapters One to Four of The Content Trap: A Strategist's Guide to Digital Change, which is written by Bharat Anand. In the source text(ST),with a lot of successful stories, professor Anand gives full descriptions to the real problem with newspapers and the traditional and wrong mindsets of most institutions' leaders to summarize effective strategies to digital change. The translation of the ST would serve as a guide book for their leaders to find a new perspective and a new mindset to realize and manage digital transformation on the one hand, and help the translator to improve her translation capability and logical thinking on the other hand. This report is divided into five chapters.Chapter One generalizes the background, significance and structure of the project;Chapter Two deals with the introduction to the author and the content of the ST,with analysis of its linguistic features. The next chapter introduces theoretical basis, namely semantic translation and communicative translation.Chapter Four lists translation difficulties and translation methods put forward by the translator guided by semantic translation and communicative translation. And the last chapter concludes experiences gained from the project and some unsolved problems.
