Research On Allusions Of Tang Yin's Poems

Tang Yin,one of the “Four Geniuses of Wuzhong”,is a famous poet and painter in the Mid-Ming Dynasty.Recently,a deeper study on him has been conducted since the Ming Dynasty literature as well as the scholars in Wuzhong area aroused more and more attention.However,the research on the allusions used in Tang Yin's poems is still limited.As is known,Tang Yin is good at using allusions and there exist a lot of allusions in his poems.Therefore,based on Tang Yin's collections of poems,the author has sorted out and analyzed his poems.The analysis shows that a wide range of allusions were employed in his poems,including Confucian classics,history,philosophy and belles-letters.Among them,The Book of Songs,Nineteen Ancient Poems,Records of History and A New Account of the Tales of the World are cited more frequently.Besides,the great masters,such as Tao Yuanming,Li Bai,Du Fu,Bai Juyi,Su Shi,etc.worshipped by Tang Yin,all affect him more or less.Among them,Li Bai has the greatest impact.Tang Yin showed extraordinary talent in allusions.He can not only keep lots of allusions in mind,but also use them skillfully.Those allusions in his poems show distinctive ingenuity.Tang Yin's life was full of twists and turns,so he often used experience of others to write his own.Through allusions,Tang Yin wrote poem with high proficiency to express his aspiration,emotion and so on.Tang Yin knew that the traditional Chinese culture and ancient classic books are his important knowledge system.His poems are not only plain,colloquial,but also elegant and concise.
