Researches On Cognate Words Of Er Ya Yi Shu

This article is guided by modern cognates theory,using statistical method,comparative analytic method and sememe analytic method,and based on the language material of Er Ya Yi Shu,referring to the pre-Qin and Han literatures and the post-Han dialects,and drawing lessons from them.In this paper,we comb 302 phonetic interpretation of Er Ya Yi Shu,sorting out the sound system,and then make a identify of cognate word.The first chapter to the fourth chapter introduce the cognate of the tooth guttural,lingual,dental and labial.First to the fourth chapter of the first quarter,we use form to render Hao Yixing's explaining about the relationship between voice,and summarize the new relationship of the sound of these entries,from which we found that the sound system of Er Ya Yi Shu consistent with 32 sound system of Wang Li in ancient time.But we have not yet met lingual“chuan”(??)and dental“zhuang”(??)“chu”(??)“chong”(??)and“shan”(??)be independent,only with other new phase in the analysis of the material.Tooth guttural,lingual,dental,and labial are all prone to the same articulation.But in the case of the same sound,the dental are not as independent as the tooth guttural,lingual and labial sounds.In the tooth guttural,the“jian”(??)is the most outstanding.In the lingua,we find that“yu”(??)and“lai”(??)and“ding”(??)are the most closely.In the dental,we find that“jing”(??)in the harmonic relationship is more prominent than“zhuang”(??.In the labial,the“ming”(??)is the most closely.In the second section of chapter one to chapter four,it is found that hao yixing's words in the disprove of Er Ya Yi Shu are cognate words.Limited to time and energy,we only examined 165 of them,and identified 71 groups as cognates.Of these,37 were the homologous words that were not linked in the results so far,and 15 homologous words added new members,and 19 groups were cognates of the existing results.Themethod and basis of examination should be grasped from three aspects: pronunciation,meaning and literature.The fifth chapter is the achievement and insufficiency of the study of cognate words in the interpretation of the Er Ya Yi Shu.Hao yixing has revealed the law of the combination of Chinese homologous words with the sound,the law of shengxun,the law of sound transfer method,and the law of synthesis.The drawback is that some terms are ambiguous and some parts of the rhyme are not clear.Objectively speaking,the value of Er Ya Yi Shu is far greater than its mistakes.
