With the reform deepens and government informationization, the rapid development of our government management electronization has achieved remarkable progress and achievement. However, the progress of government information is associated with information security problems, such as internet hacking, network virus, internet information espionage, internet terrorist attack, violate compasses operation, vulnerable net system. According to the testing results of information security department, 90%government websites present various problems. In recent years, for the vulnerable of information security and networks system, the overseas internet attacks caused huge damage to China. China has been one of the main victims of internet attacks. The Chinese government's dependence on network is growing each passing day. If the problems haven't been handled properly, they would cause enormous losses to our government information security. Especially during the major events and the sensitive dates, malicious attack events aimed at the government portal websites are emerged in endlessly. It brings huge interference to the work of our government. In the meantime, the attacks toward government portal websites caused the risk of important information leak, direct threat to the national security. Therefore we have to make higher requirements to the current situation of Chinese government websites, to defend the information security. In the first chapter, this thesis analyses the government's information security and the risks upon government's information application. In the next chapter, this thesis evaluated the internet security situation to our government. At last, the thesis discussed the countermeasures for government portal websites' security issues.
