| As an important category of vocational education, public security higher education has its characteristics different from the common ones. Thus, public security colleges and universities’ personnel training modes offer their own characteristics. With the changing of country’s social situation and the reforming of education system, there comes up the problem of how to adjust the personnel training modes accordingly, which is drawing attentions from education departments, schools and professionals related. Under this background, this paper, focusing on the above-mentioned problems, will turn out to be of practical significance.Despite of endeavors, problems still exist in public security colleges and universities’ personnel training modes, such as, the training target is not made fit enough; specialties’ setting and curriculum designing are barely satisfactory; the teaching mode follows a stereotype routine; the teaching evaluation mechanism is rough; talent training based on individuals’ personalities and characteristics is for want.Based on management and education theories, and through document analysis, combinations of theories and practices, as well as investigation and interview, and comprehensive analysis methods, this paper analyzed problems from 22 public security colleges and universities mainly in their training targets and processes, and put forward some workable suggestions. This article mainly includes the following parts: First, setting forth the problems and the significance of research, rounded up relevant researches from home and abroad, clarified further the research ideas and methods, and pointed out preliminarily the innovation points of the article. Second, focusing on the above-mentioned problems, redefined and checked related concepts and introduced relevant theories in details. Third, the overseas experiences, picked typical colleges and universities in American-European mode and developing countries mode as examples. Finally, the empirical research of personnel training modes in 22 public security colleges and universities, analyzed the related empirical investigation and put up with strategies to improve personnel training modes for the public security colleges and universities in the new era. |
