On The Training Rights Of College Teachers

An excellent team of high-level teachers plays an essential role in the cultivationof talents, the development of colleges and universities, and the development ofadvanced education. Since the college enrollment expansion in1999, the enrollmentscale of every college or university is expanded rapidly, and Chinese highereducation transforms from elite education into popularity education. People’srequirements of pursuing advance education have realized. However, the quality ofcollege education is consequently being reduced. Therefore, in order to resolve thisproblem and to ensure the health development of college education, it is essential notonly to employ excellent faculties, but also to provide them adequate training, bywhich the their training rights can be guaranteed.The thesis includes three parts except the introduction. firstly The presentthesis,discusses the connotation and value of college teachers’ training rights. Thetraining rights of college teachers are defined based on researchers’ analysis of rightsand current laws and regulations on the occupational rights and obligations of collegeteachers. Then, legislative stipulation on the training rights of college teachers hasbeen introduced. Laws and regulations on college teachers have been combed, whichoffers the training of college teachers a legal basis. Problems existing in the trainingrights of college teachers have been also analyzed, such as the lack of attention, theimperfection of system, and the limitations of training content and method. Lastly,according to those problems discussed before, related suggestions are put forward. Inaddition, some foreign regulations are introduced and their experience is summarized,from which our nation could learn.
