Study On Improving The Living Environment In Rural Areas

Living environment is the basic survival and development conditions for human beings. China is one of the biggest agricultural countries as agricultural population accounts for the majority. Construction of rural living environment plays a very important role for the living environment of the entire society. Comprehensive improvement of rural living environment, including rural living conditions, public facilities, sanitation, and other aspects is critical to the completion of a comprehensive well-off society. Besides, it is also what the peasants are crying for.In recent years, remarkable improvement of rural living environment has been achieved along with the research and practice based on the reality of economy and society development. The regional rural characteristics and needs of peasants are also taken into consideration. However, the rural living environment in general is still relatively lower than cities. From academic research perspective, although the domestic theoretical system of rural living condition is continuing in growth, very little research result is relevant to the rural living environment compared with the research on urban areas. It's even less for the study on rural area surrounding the city with the overall perspective of balancing urban and rural development. This study is based on the current situation of rural living environment of Tianjin, including the analysis of environment data, municipal policy and management. Investigation and case study on the living environment were conducted in five villages of Jixian County.Some typical cases were discussed in details. Countermeasures on improving rural living environment are discussed in four major aspects, which are rural planning,rural-housing construction, municipal infrastructure and public service facilities.Related theories both at home and abroad and individual interviews with the staffs and villagers from certain city, country and village were referred. The main purpose of this study is to enrich the research in this field, and provide reference for formulating the relevant policies and taking corresponding measures in Tianjin city or similar areas.
