With the rapid development of the subject of ideological and political education in China, the training scale of the professional master's degree is gradually expanding, and the level of professional commitment of students has become an important issue in the current research field. Students' professional development depends on their mastery of professional knowledge and skills, higher level of professional commitmentcan promote students to be more active in the professional learning and future work.In this paper, with the combination of quantitative and qualitative research, aquestionnaire along with interview has been conducted in eleven different universities with 270 students of Henan province, aiming at drawing a general picture of current situation, and grasping the development characteristics and the existing problems of theideological and political education professional graduate students in Henan province. The study finds that:1.The overall level of professional commitment of theideological and political education professional graduate students in Henan province is not high, the development of each dimension is not balanced;2.The development characteristics of the professional commitment of the graduate students majoring in ideological and political education in Henan province are as follows:(1)The professional commitment level of theideological and political education professional graduate studentsin different gender is balanced development;(2)The original place where the students come from has a significant influence on the level of the professional commitment of the graduate students majoring in ideological and political education;(3)The factor that whether the student is the only child in his family or not has little impact on the professional commitment level;(4)There is almost no differencesinthe level of professional commitment between the students who graduate in the present year and the students graduate in the past year.3.The problems of professional commitment of theideological and political education professional graduate students in Henan province are as follows:(1) Thegraduate students who are cross majors and those admitted by dispensing have a lower level of professional commitment;(2)The professional commitment level of the students with noworking experience is not high;(3)The professional commitment level of the students who are in the non- normal universities needs to be improved;(4)The professional commitment level ofthe full-time graduatestudents majoring in ideological and political educationneeds to be improved;(5)The professional commitment level of the graduate students majoring in ideological and political education has not been improved with the increase of their grade;(6)The Party members' professional commitment level is not high, and they didn't play a leading role in improving the professional commitment level. In view of these questions, through the further interview investigation, this paper gets that the professional commitment level will be affected by the factors of the master's degree, the professional setting and the influence of the parents and so on.Based on this, learning from the experience of other professional, combined with the current situation of ideological and political education professional in Henan province, effective strategies have been put forward to improve the level of professional commitment of master graduate students majoring in ideological and political education: Students through the reasonable adjustment of the relationship between professional learning and life practiceto enhance their professional competitiveness; The school should make a more strict standard in the enrollment system of professional norms, strive to strengthen the professional construction, and play an active role in promoting the communication and interaction between teachers and students. At the same time,the school should provide more occupation guidance to enhance students' professional commitment level; In addition, through the society's efforts to encourage the rationalemployment, the teachers' supervision and guidance of students' learning, and the parents' supportfor students' professional learning and life on the economic and spiritual, a continued ascensionin the ideological and political educationgraduate students' professional commitment level will come true.
