Problems And Countermeasures Of Community Volunteer Service In New Media Time

During the period of social transformation, reform of the government agencies begins with transfer of government functions and devolution of administrative power to lower levels. Community volunteer services have become an important organization of providing society public service, which plays an irreplaceable role in relieving the pressure of government and market failure. Promoting Community volunteer services can enhance friendship and harmony of community members. As one of the Non-Profit Organization, it has superiority over market and the government when providing public services. With the accelerating process of urbanization, there is an increasing demand of public services with the influences of aging of population, increasing of floating population and family miniaturization. However, during its development, city community volunteer services has encountered difficulties.The thesis defines concepts of community, community volunteer services and new media in combination with background of times and sets forth existing problems of community volunteer services in new media age and its countermeasures. It is considered as an significant method of promoting volunteer spirit and shaping citizen's virtues, the important safeguards to improve people's livelihood and build a harmonious society, the key action to enhance social civilization and strengthen soft power of country. Under the basis of investigating the community of Xiangtan City with method of document analysis and field investigation, relative deficiencies of community volunteer services of new media age have been proposed, including tha lack of trust caused by incomplete information screening, a disconnect between supervision and administration by multiple management, unsustainable development by narrow funding channels and mixture of the good and the bad by lack of talents. Under the analysis of realistic basis and theory, a series countermeasures are proposed to promote sustainable development of community volunteer services by learning foreign advanced methods and ideas.
