Throughout the course of development of human society, revolutionary activities containing critical power run through it, which make constant changes in state power and optimize social structure gradually. Marx based on 19 th century capitalist society, focusing on the living conditions of "real person", overcoming the early rational thinking of humanism, examining all sorts of irrational capitalist order of society within the framework of historical materialism, gradually forming a social revolutionary theory guiding proletarian to revolt class oppression and achieving social change. In the 20 th century, facing new problems existing developed industrial society in new period, as one of the new left-wing deputies of "Freudian Marxism"- Marcuse turned to the level of human psychology and instinct, analyzing ills of advanced industrial society in the new theory point- a new sensibility, building a new revolutionary theory in the new framework of humanism, and tried to respond to new difficulties encountered by the developed capitalist society in theory and practice.Transforming of social contradictions context and emerging of new contradictions gradually are the objective basis on which Marcuse reinterpreted Marx's social revolutionary theory. In different theoretical logic, Marx starting from the "real person" perspective in the framework of historical materialism, Marcuse starting from human sensibility in the logic of humanism, they both formed their own revolutionary theory with the brand of the times. By analyzing and comparing the two theories about social change systematically, we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the development process and the new changes of capitalist society, understand clearly the breakthroughs and contradictions of Marcuse's "new" revolutionary theory under the new social context, have an insight into the essence of Marx's theory of social revolution beyond Marcuse's "new" revolutionary theory from humanism perspective, explore the theoretical value of critical thinking behind the social revolution in the new period, and provide theoretical support for the social change.
