On Sustainable Development Of Civil Charity Organizations With "Charisma"

Philanthropy is an important part of social security and development of charities must rely on charitable organization. Currently there are a lot of grass-roots non-governmental charitable organizations in China, development of some charitable organizations rely on the founder's personal charm. These charitable organizations can hold some vigorous activities in the early; yet they are often facing with the dilemma in subsequent development. So the article wants to discuss how to achieve sustainable development for civil charity organizations with "charisma", which are important in theoretical and practical charitable field.Perspective and framework of the paper are based on Max Weber tissue type theory especially charisma type theory. The paper choose G Association in Guilin as a typical case.The case called G Association in Guilin is analyzed and compared with Z Association in Guilin.Z Association in Guilin is a relatively mature legal system. Through learning from the successful experience from Association in Guilin, the paper is trying to explore sustainable development for charismatic civil charity organizations with "charisma"The paper consists of four parts:The first part called introduction mainly introduces the research background, research significance, research methods, theoretical perspectives and other aspects to explain framework of totally paper.The second part is a presentation about case. According to theory called the life cycle of organizational development, G Association in Guilin is divided into three stages which are initial phase, the rapid development and the recession. The paper points out that G Association in Guilin are facing the crises and difficulties of subsequent development.The third part manages to analyze the reasons which include external and internal factors. Pressure of competition from environment is a very important external factor. Based on the Charisma theory, the paper thinks that charisma characteristic is main internal source which lead to a series of specific internal reasons. The specific internal reasons include:(1) Organization lack of professionals and the number of followers are gradually reducing; (2) Management is not very formal and internal governance structure exist problems; (3) Non-professional activities management result in a shortage of attractive brand activities.The fourth part proposes measures. The paper thinks that civil charity organizations with "charisma" should be transformed into legal charitable organizations. Specific measures include:(1)organization manages to build an effective human resources management; (2)organization manages to improve the organization's internal governance structure; (3) organization manages to build charitable brand for activities.The study has showed that:there is still long road for Charisma non-governmental charitable organization. It is necessary to improve their competitiveness and adapt to new changes in the environment. Since limitations of the research methods?the research object and research data, there are many questions in the paper. All these deficiencies are expected to improve in the follow-up studies in the future.
