The Ukraine government rejected to sign an association agreement with EU at the end of 2013; this caused a strong dissatisfaction among pro-western people in Ukraine, and sparked the crisis in Ukraine. The pro-western Ukrainians mobilized rallies and protested marches in Kiev Independent square and Maidan. The Ukraine situation is out of control, and eventually evolved from a domestic political crisis to an international politics event. The development of situation in Ukraine crisis became unexpected. Yanukovich government has compromised again and again, provoking regime change in Ukraine. In order to reverse the passive situation, Russia started to intervene in Ukraine crisis strongly. At last, Crimea annexed into Russia. Then, the eastern Ukraine region sought to pursue independence as the Crimea, and triggered the civil war between the folk forces and government troops, the southeast Ukraine continued unrest. In the process of the crisis, Ukraine held its presidential election, and also signed Minsk-2 ceasefire agreement. However, it is also difficult to stop conflict under Minsk-2 ceasefire agreement. Ukraine failed to achieve peace. At present, the Ukraine situation eased gradually, but the future of Ukraine crisis situation is still uncertain. In Ukraine crisis, both the United States and Russia launched a fierce fight. In order to weaken Russia, the United States has implemented a series of repressive policies against Russia in Ukraine crisis: see Russia as an important political security threats and rival, but give strong backing to pro-America officials and Ukraine regime; continue pushing to expand NATO, strengthen the military presence in Eastern Europe around the areas of Russian, squeeze Russia's geopolitical strategic security space; the EU and U.S. take turns to extend sanctions against Russia and aimed to its core economy areas, such as energy, finance, making Russia suffer great economic losses; isolate Russia in international diplomatic stage to weaken Russia's international influence. Besides, the U.S. government and officials smear the images of Russia in public. The United States tough policy toward Russia has its deep motivation behind it. America's priority target is to maintain the leading role in the world and keep American hegemony, to prevent and curb Russia who challenges its hegemony. America's foreign policy towards Russia belongs to its overall strategic goal. That is to strengthen control of global affairs, curb Russia's resurgence by weakening Russia's international influence so that to realize the unipolar hegemony of the United States in global. Specifically, the American's goal in Ukraine is to avoid Ukraine country being split by Russia and force Russia to change its policy. The final goal is to overturn the Russian regime as much as possible. The series of combined carrot and stick policy taken by the United States toward Russia lead to resistance and dislike. This directly results in a rising conflict between the powers of the United States and Russia. It is predictable that the United States won't launch a war with Russia in the Ukraine crisis, because Russia is an important nuclear power in the world. In the meantime, it doesn't possess the conditions and elements to outbreak the cold war between the United States and Russian. However, the U.S.-Russian relations became stalemate and went bad due to confrontation. Although it is difficult to improve the bad situation in short term, the United States will continue to resolve disputes through political dialogue with Russia, easing the two countries relationship peacefully. In fact, the United States and Russia share broad common interests about some specific international focus issues. So it determines that the American must turn to Russia for help to solve the difficult international problems, such as the spread of nuclear weapons, the threats of terrorist and other international issues. The United States and Russia are the two important powers in the world. America's policy toward Russia has a significant impact on the U.S.-Russian bilateral relations. At the same time, the U.S.-Russian relations and policies between the two sides will also make far-reaching and wide influence on the world. Obviously, the Ukraine crisis is the result of geopolitical struggle between the United States and Russia. The tough policy implemented by the United States in the Ukraine crisis, including strengthen the military presence in Europe, urge Ukraine to join the European Union, push for the enlargement of NATO, and promote the European missiles defense system, bring the United States military offensive line future to the Russian border, and cause the Russian security space has narrowed sharply. The ongoing deterioration of Russia's geopolitical environment aggravates the tension of the U.S.-Russian relations. It also damages the fragile strategic mutual-trust between the United States and Russia due to the suspicion and doubt existed in both sides. The fierce game carried by the United States and Russia in Ukraine affects the development of the Ukraine situation. Under the support of the United States, Ukraine has made the West tendency choice, and rejects the commonwealth of independent states integration more and more increasingly dominated by Russia. The different interest demands among the United States, Russia and the EU further complicate the development of the situation in Ukraine and make the issue more uncertain to solve. In addition to this, the American's policy towards Russia not only brings negative influence on the European regional security, disturbing the order of European peace and stability, but also compels Russia to adjust its diplomatic strategy and foreign policy.
