Research On The Demands Of The Home-Based Community Care Service For The Eldly In Security Housing

This research generates from 2 urgent issues. On one hand, China has entered the stage of rapidly aging. In the end of the year 2014, the number of 65 years old and above had reached 10.1%. In order to cope with the pressure of aging and improve the life quality of the eldly, China has paid siganificant importance on the home-based community care service for the eldly. On the other hand, in order to relieve the prlblem of housing, a large scale of security housing has been constructed from year 2010. However, the infrustructure within the security-housing district cannot keep pace with the rapid construction. Considering these 2 facts, the percentage of the eldly among all the people in security housing, Nanjing, has reached up to 30%. Furthermore, the supply of the home-based community care service is in great shortage in public housing district. As to avoid the problem of housing and aging co-aggreating, from the side of demanding, this research studys the following aspectes:Firstly, after a research summary has been made, the content of this research has been established. They are "current demand of the home-based community care service for the eldly in security housing", "the demand influencing factors for home-based community care service for the eldly in security housing", "the trend of the demand for home-based community care service for the eldly in security housing" and "the amount of demand for home-based community care service for the eldly in security housing". Then, this reseach defines the concepts of "the elydly", "security housing district", "definition and content of home-based community service for the eldly" and"demand".Secondly, a questionnaire survey had been carried out in public housing so as to acquire the first-hand data. According to the results, it has been analysed individually and mutually in the following aspects:sex type, age, health, situation of chronic disease, self-care ability, occupation, level of education, habitation, income per month, resources of income and resources of hospitalization costs. The demanding situation of the eldly for the four types of the home-based community care service for the eldly:life-care type, health type, culture-entertainment type and psychology-law type has been analysed. Also, analysis has been made to reveal the difference between the demands of home-based community care for the eldy in common housing and public housing.Thirdly, with the application of ANOVA,3 key variables (age, habitation and income per month) have been screened out. Logistic analysis has been carried out to find the intrinsic relationship between these 3 key factors and the demand of the home-based community care service for the eldly in public housing. A trend forecast has been carried out aiming at lightening the future demand trend of the home-based community care service for the eldly in public housing.Lastly, from the view of demanding, taking age, habitation and income per month as the standards of classification, making a research on the scale of the demand of the home-based community care service for the eldly. Taking Daishan Runfu public housing community as an instance for explicit calculation.
