The Study On Maintenance Mechanism Of The Enthusiasm Of Volunteers To Participate In Volunteer Service

Since the advent of China's voluntary service career, volunteer has been an important component. After 2008, there appears a tendency of service scope being constantly segmented and service being continuously specialized in China's voluntary service career. However, since the voluntary service career started late in China, the organization and management system is incomplete, relevant laws and safeguard policy are not complete and social cognition degree is insufficient, etc., it is commonly seen that volunteers'enthusiasm for participating in voluntary services is hard to be kept.Aiming at above-mentioned problem, this thesis takes volunteers as research subject and collects domestic voluntary service cases through looking up to literatures, searching the Internet and newspapers, etc. On the basis of in-depth research and analysis, this thesis discusses the phenomenon and reasons for volunteers lacking enthusiasm. Integrating the two classic voluntary service cases of Wenchuan Earthquake and Beijing Olympic Games, the thesis summarizes the experience and deficiencies in social workers' and government's maintaining volunteers' enthusiasm. At last, from the four dimensions of volunteers, voluntary service organizations, government and society and the professional perspective of social work, the thesis proposes corresponding measures and suggestions on maintaining volunteers' enthusiasm for taking part in voluntary services.
