Social Work Intervention Into Elderly Volunteer Service

With the development of economy and society, the problem of aging in our country isbecoming more serious. The fact that our country is moving towards an aging society topromote the vigorous development of older volunteers service, elderly volunteers as anemerging force in volunteer service, with superiority of time, wealth and the number ofvoluntary participation in community service. However, older volunteers lack ofknowledge and skills of professional services, volunteerism empty, monotonous content,service organizations loose and the elderly volunteering inherent risks, seriously restrictingthe development of China’s elderly volunteer services. And social work with professionaltheoretical knowledge and skills advantage in professional services, therefore, social workinvolvement in the level of knowledge and skill levels can effectively improve servicelevels in elderly volunteers and promote the healthy development of China’s elderlyvolunteer services.Therefore, this paper based on social work intervention into elderly volunteer serviceprojects, and actively explore effective ways of social work intervention in elderlyvolunteer service, through social work services on how to optimize the involvement ofolder volunteers, to provide solutions sample for solving the problem of older volunteers,in order to achieve further aim to promote volunteer service specialized in elderlysustainable development, help the elderly active aging, and also conducive to promotingthe localization of Social Work practice.
