The paper taking J manufacturing factory in Beijing as case, use the perspective of the Structural-Functional Theory of Parsons, and consult Communist neo-Tradionalism Theory by Walter, study the social integration of industrial workers and dependence transition when the unit system change. The basic argument of this paper is that the industrial workers of the factory less dependence about economic and political and even interpersonal relationship when the unit system change to the market system, while the workers cultural dependence that containing life style is increasing, which makes the state-owned factory for industrial workers stay in relatively stable situation. During the study of industrial workers dependence transition, the factory and the workers are seen as fully interactive. The economic, political, cultural structure are the key structures that can satisfy the system functional needs and maintain system operation, these elements dynamic change also maintains social integration of industrial workers. When I did the field study in Factory J we can be see that when the process of "market economy" is running, the workers working, joining political activities, and seeking for social interaction, cultural needs in here. The social meaning of integration not only extraordinary but also reflects the important role of China’s economic and social functions. The first chapter explains the issues raised, content, significance, theoretical framework and methods procedures. The second combed the literature review about China factory, industrial workers, social integration, related works. The third chapter provides an overview of a series change of Factory J in 30 years of business and political conditions, humanistic environment as a realistic basis for the theory of study. The situation of Factory J point a view that even in a series of problems go against the integration of industrial workers,it still maintained a high level of integration, the workers trust, dependent and need the factory. This trust, dependent and need not limited in economic interests, political right and relationship needs, and cultural needs are significant, too. In fourth Chapter explains from four aspects contain the economic, political, personal relationship and culture dependency. Describe and analysis the dynamicchange of this four aspects. and shows the first three has lower degree of dependence, and cultural dependence is increasing and more significant with cultural needs of industrial workers. This culture dependence not only contains traditional ethics, conception of collectivism under socialist ideology, but also modern industrial workers’ thinking way and life style. as a kind of structural mechanism, the factory release the culture resources that workers need, and the industrial actively absorb these resources. In this interaction, form the culture dependency between factory and industrial workers. The fifth chapter summarized the paper, and further points out the actuality of cultural dependency from the theory and importance, and points that the factory as the main platform of cultural resources and the system of integration mechanism.Especially improve the system of trade unions to improve the level of social integration.
