High Election To Participate Is Under The Dual Identity

Sharply in the modernization process of China's farmers,in time of rapid change,their psychological feeling is suffering a unprecedented impact.Between tradition and modern,in the past and the future free of change,these changes profoundly reflected in farmers' identity,inevitably has the dual attributes.This kind of dual identity consciousness greatly influence the farmers' political behavior,especially the rural political life is the most typical voting participation behavior.Therefore,under the background of modernization,and study how the dual identity of Chinese farmers caused the high electoral participation behavior mechanism,not only in theory beyond the existing "economic incentive theory","social capital" and "political multiculturalism","Chinese characteristics" and innovative,and at the practical level for rational interpretation of the Chinese farmers high electoral participation behavior,and guide the further development of Chinese democracy at the grassroots level provides a direction.Dual identity is the point in the process of transforming from traditional society to modern society,the farmers are the subjects of identity consciousness and citizen identity intertwined consciousness,consciousness is a kind of binary mixture of psychological confirmed that it has the characteristics of transitional,mixed and contradiction,it can be divided into contractual-attachment identity and relationship-autonomy identity of two types.High electoral participation refers to the farmers in the village committee election participation have large scale,long time,more involved emotion in the behavior characterization.Adopt qualitative research method,this paper select Z,C J village in Shanxi Province for investigation and study,proofing high correlation between dual identity and elections,and on this basis,it explains the mechanism of high electoral participation from two types of dual identity:(1)the farmers in the values dimension orientation of contract and the attachment behavior dimensions under the influence of intention,through participation in village committee election to pursue their own legal rights and the rule of law guarantee,when choosing a candidate,on the other hand,tend to cling to authority,self-seeking,the expanded participation,extend the investment of time,increase the emotional involvement,forming high electoral participation.Farmers in(2)the values dimension relationship orientation and behavior dimension independent intention under the joint action of maintaining ethical harmony through participation in village committee election,in favor of pressure and the obligation of subjective driven into voting site,under the influence of the strong sense of political efficacy candidates tend to comprehensive rational analysis,complete the vote,the expanded in scale,increase the investment of time,to deepen the emotional involvement,forming high electoral participation.Under the dual identity,high electoral participation is a unique phenomenon in the development of democracy at the grassroots level,but not its developing trend,dual identity will quickly turn to citizen consciousness along with the accelerated modernization.
