Since the beginning of 21st century,the market economy situation in China has changed greatly.As the national large-scale disarmament plans are about to begin,the original placement policy becomes increasingly difficult to maintain,and the traditional way of placement has been severely impacted.In recent years,the retired solders' employment problems have become increasingly prominent,and become a topic of social concern.However,the current academic researches mostly focus on the discussion and summary of the existing placement policies,and lack of scientific depth and theoretical height.Few researchers explore the self-employment of retired soldiers from the family level.In addition,there are few in-depth investigation and interviews to the retired soldiers,the family and the policy makers.According to this,this paper will be based on the previous studies,break through the limitations of the original research framework.The purpose of this paper is to look at the self-demployment of retired soldiers through the framework of family capital by investigating how the family capital of retired soldiers'family owners use to affect employment.Taking advantages of Social Work,using qualitative analysis supplemented by quantitative analysis to go deep into the group of retired soldiers.The results suggest that family capital of retired soldiers is weak,and has a significant impact on employment.The family economic capital affect them to start a business.The cultural capital affect their employment preparation and employment orientation by the parents' values and expectations.The family social capital affect their job opportunities through access to resources and information.Finally,this paper emphasizes the participation of social pluralism.By enhancing the the participation of government,community and other social forces to broaden the support network of retired soldiers,to promote their employment.
