The Crisis On Police Image And Strategies On Dealing With It Based On New Media

Good police image is particularly important to promote the battle effectiveness and cohesive force within the public security organ and improve the credibility and construction,including actively playing a good law enforcement authority and maintaining national stability and building a harmonious and stable society.For a long time,as an important department of the government,the public security organs makes great contribution to the social stability and unity and peace and happiness of the people.With the development of the internet and mobile internet technology,recently,our media technology has witnessed tremendous change and the message innovation has developed deeply,caused by transferring the information,which gives rise to new media age.In the background of technology revolution,the new media can make the press present something on police deeply and broadly,which to some degree can magnify the negative effects on police image and the speed of spreading is more quicker than that of traditional media.So it can lead to extensive effects on police image,there will be more new problems.This research aims to study the current situation on police image through the case analysis and questionnaire survey in the background of new media and clarify the security forces and the general public to police image cognitive similarities and differences,followed by considering the police image potential crisis under the background of new media.The research also deeply studies the causes of the police image:The first is that the policemen' s abilities are diverse and the second one is the weak police managements and securities and the social problems.The third one is little knowledge on new media,followed by the fourth one-the effect on public cognitions caused by new media.Lastly,the research discussed the strategies.The first is to strengthen the police' s own capacities,including the ideological and political quality,body psychological quality,professional ethics quality,medium quality and the behavior of police law enforcement.The second is to improve the management system and security mechanism to promote the public security management system reform and innovation,including conducting the special treatment on policemen to further improve the mechanism of supervision and strengthen the maintenance of the police power.The third is to enhance the construction of new media of police,including to strengthen organizational leadership and the security service to build "three micro end" and build public security new media brand and standardize the management and establish and perfect the system of public relations,with improving the quality of information,guiding public opinion,speeding up the integration and promoting the resources integration.The fourth is to strengthen the propaganda on the positive image of police,like enhancing the public's awareness of law and social mentality deviation to strengthen the cooperation between public security organization and new media.
