The Research On Women Work Of Underground CPC In Shanghai During The Liberation War

Since its establishment,the Communist Party of China(CPC)has been taking the women's liberation movement as an important component of the whole revolutionary movement.During the period of liberation war,underground CPC in Shanghai led women of all circles in Shanghai to oppose civil war and struggle for democracy.The struggle of women of all circles cooperated with the struggle of people including workers and students of various battle lines,which made tremendous contributions to the liberation of Shanghai.This paper discusses a series of problems including the background,launch,characteristics and experience of women work of underground CPC in Shanghai during the period of liberation war based on previous research and further teases and explores historical materials.It was necessary and possible to carry out women work in Shanghai during the period of liberation war.As the political,economic and cultural center of Kuomintang reactionaries and also the birthplace of CPC,Shanghai occupies an important position in the struggle against enemies.During the period of liberation war,women of all circles in Shanghai had a strong desire for liberation,which provided possibilities for underground CPC in Shanghai to carry out women work.The adjustment and development of the institutions of women work and the establishment of women organizations had created favorable condition for underground CPC in Shanghai to carry out women work.During this period,underground CPC in Shanghai carried out women work mainly from three levels according to the instructions of the Central Committee of CPC:in terms of publicity,founding women's journals to publicize culture and art,conduct secret propaganda and open up the position of public opinion propaganda;In the aspect of mobilization,organizing women of all circles to take part in the struggle of opposing civil war and fighting for peace;In the aspect of improving women's lives,protecting the survival and personal rights of women and carrying out the cultural,educational and health undertakings of women.Due to the complex political environment of Shanghai,women work of underground CPC in Shanghai had its distinctive characteristics:The launch of women work of underground CPC in Shanghai mainly depended on the broad masses of industrial female workers and women of petty bourgeoisie.To adapt to the situation of struggle and avoid the destruction of enemies,underground CPC in Shanghai organized women in a terse,forceful,decentralized and diverse way.In addition,underground CPC in Shanghai was secret and illegal in Shanghai.In the face of powerful enemies,underground CPC in Shanghai usually organized women to do battle in an open and legal way.In the process of carrying out women work,underground CPC in Shanghai seriously implemented the working policy and struggle strategy of the party,combined women work with the central task of the party and adopted flexible and diversified ways to mobilize women of all circles to actively participate in struggle,which contained and weakened the power of Kuomintang reactionaries and contributed to the victory of revolutionary cause.
