| Indonesia is the largest country in Southeast Asia,and located in the "sea crossroads" of Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean,which is an significant part of China's diplomacy.Since China and Indonesia established diplomatic relations on April 13,1950,they have undergone repeated processes of thinning,friendship,breaking and resuming.The Chinese overseas issue has also been a hot and difficult issue between the two countries,especially during the reign of Suharto,Indonesia's anti-China and anti-Communist forces were strong.All kinds of "China threat" on the clamor,leading to cold relations with China,and even off for as long as 23 years.In the first few years after the resumption of the two countries,Sino-Indonesia relations still have not improved much.Until Indonesia began to build a democratic politics,within the wind of democracy.More and more Chinese and Chinese groups are active in all areas of Indonesia's political,economic,cultural and social fields and have begun to contribute to the country's,and efforts to promote the friendship between China and Indonesia.This article is based on the study of various related materials in the database,such as CNKI,EBSCO,JSTOR and Lexis Nexis,as well as the reports of the Indonesian official media about the Ethnic Chinese Community,that the Ethnic Chinese Community has increasingly enjoyed the attributes of Western interest groups.This paper describes the rise and development of Indonesian Chinese overseas interest groups,as well as the current major groups,and to explore its impact in Indonesia's domestic political life.In the framework of Interest Group Theory,we found that the ways contains:Firstly,Lobbying and attending election.Lobbying to gain the equal status of the ethnic Chinese in Indonesia.Supporting the Chinese elite to participate in the election and provide financial support.And to maintain high-level interaction with the Government to develop Indonesia and China comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.Secondly,the intersest groups of Chinese overseas is the matchmaking in the economic and trade cooperation between two countries,which will achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.Thirdly,developing Chinese media and Chinese education.They created the Chinese media to guide domestic public opinion,but also to strengthen cooperation with China in the media field;Besides,to support the development of Chinese education,foster trilingual talents and realize the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries;What's more,such as,tourism activities,art exchange and other cultural activities are to promote the intercourse between Indonesia and China,shining the two countries public diplomacy.It is not difficult to find out the main characteristics of Chinese overseas interest groups' influence on Indonesia's Policy towards China.Firstly,the diversification of the groups and influence;Secondly,the Chinese overseas interest groups will show more wisdom and participate in the political Interaction intelligently;Thirdly,the economic and trade areas will make a difference;Fourth,continue to broaden the channels of public diplomacy between China and Indonesia.Therefore,this paper holds that China should pay attention to this group in Indonesia's strategy and pay more attention to the role of Chinese interest groups in promoting the official and non-governmental exchanges between China and Indonesia.First,respect the Chinese political choice,to avoid sensitive issues,to spread China's outstanding traditional culture,and strengthen our own cultural soft power construction.Second,China should create a more relaxed investment environment to attract overseas capital;Third,perfecting the media legislation and educational exchange mechanism.Though Chinese overseas interest groups,to create innovation,vitality,green,harmonious public diplomacy.To promote the effective integration of various social resources,the development of bilateral relations with Indonesia to form a more institutionalized mode of cooperation. |
