Research On The Communication And Construction Of Chinese Stories In The Perspective Of Narration

Due to the sustained and rapid growth of China's economy,Western countries' views of contemporary China have changed."China threat theory","Chinese hegemony theory" and other remarks cause a temporary clamour.In the face of these increasingly serious challenges,Chinese leaders put forward an idea,that is,"good Chinese Stories spread the sounds of China",with a view to enhancing China's national image,improving the soft power of Chinese culture,and promoting China's public diplomacy.At the same time,Chinese President Xi Jinping has actively served as a model of telling Chinese Stories in his diplomatic occasions.He has repeatedly given an account of the stories of Chinese and foreign exchanges and excellent Chinese stories,all of which set an example of contemporary Chinese narrative ideas.This thesis uses the theory of narratology to analyze the Chinese Stories in President Xi's visiting speeches for the purpose of figuring out how to spread and construct the Chinese Stories in the new model of China's narrative idea.By and large,the first chapter gives an account of the concept of Chinese Stories as well as the theory and development of narratology.In the second and the third chapter,the narrative theory and the narrative language are used to analyze the Chinese Stories in Xi Jinping's visiting speeches.The fourth chapter focuses on the new Chinese narrative idea based on the analysis in the above chapters,and explores the inheritance and transcendence of the new idea of Chinese narrative to the traditional idea by summarizing its characteristics and manifestations.In general,President Xi Jinping is very good at telling Chinese Stories in the omniscient and personal perspective,also the narrative voice is close to the audience,and the narrative time is natural and reasonable.At the same time,his language style is plain and straightforward.And he is adept in using allusions,famous sentences,conceptual metaphor,selecting words and parallelism sentences.This narrative idea plays a positive role in the dissemination and construction of Chinese Stories,becomes a new model of Chinese narrative,and inherits and transcends the traditional Chinese narrative idea.These features not only add a lot of colour to Xi Jinping's visiting speeches,but help the international spread of Chinese stories to continue.
