A Study On BJP's Foreign Policy And Diplomatic Practice

As the only great power in South Asia,India gets charge of India ocean by right of its navy.Besides,India is one of the famous emerging economies as well.As China is achieving “Chinese dream”,India begins to achieve its “Indian dream”,that is,becoming one of the world powers.China develops so fast that India have to pay the most attention on China when India is achieving its goal.Therefore,studying on India's foreign policy and diplomatic practice is very necessary for China.The Bharatiya Jana Party(BJP)is a new political party founded in 1980 s,which founded by Atar Bihari Vajpayee.After the failure with campaign on the slogan of secularization policy,BJP is characteristic of Hindu nationalistic party and eventually established "holistic humanism" and "Hindutva" as maximum program of the party."Hindutva" is strongly double-edged,both with strong tolerance of the traditional culture of India and the Hindu culture,and also showed strong religious exclusiveness,religious nationalism,chauvinism and other characteristics.Therefore,under the leadership of the BJP government,easily making a historic breakthrough with the structural problems and historical issues when India expanding bilateral relationships with others;BJP is also easy to make irrational radical policies when it comes to India's homeland security,and the dominance of South Asia.Therefore,researching the foreign policy and diplomatic practice of Vajpayee's and Modi's administration,which helps to improve our understanding of the foreign ideological characteristics and diplomatic purpose of the BJP,and to provide convenience for further developing Sino-India relations.This article starts from the establishment,development and the progress of eventual rise of the BJP,and to understand and master political program of "Hindutva ",and then analyze and summarize the main foreign policy and practice of Vajpayee's and Modi's administration so that summing up the characteristics of BJP's foreign policy and practice.This paper focuses on analyzing border dispute between China and India,which affecting Sino-India relations under the BJPs,"the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" of India dilemma and other issues affecting the further development of the relation between China and India.And try to propose measures of China in the future development of Sino-India relation,to make ensure maximizing Chinese national interests and safeguard the common interests of China and India at the same time.
