The Research On The Status And Demand Of Elderly In Nanning

Objective The purpose is to explore the status quo,demand and influencing factors of the elderly in Nanning City,and the feeling of the elderly caregivers in the process of caring for the elderly and provide reference of the development of home care services.Methods Objects included the elderly and the elderly caregivers in Nanning.The sampling method was multistage stratified random sampling.The questionnaire included structural problems and open questions.The survey content included: 1.The elderly pension demand survey:(1)General situation:gender,age,nationality,education level,living conditions,economic status,self-care ability,health status,medical expenses and other.(2)Situation of endowment service: the present situation and demand of the aged service.2.The elderly caregivers survey content:(1)General situation: gender,age,whether the only child,education level,occupation,living conditions,economic conditions,living style,etc.(2)Status of the elderly.(3)The Zarit care burden scale was used to test the feeling of the elderly caregivers in the process of caring for the elderly.The dataset was established by Epidata3.0 and the data was analyzedstatistically by SPSS17.0.The data description of basic characteristics was the frequency and percentage.Demographic characteristics of the elderly and the pension situation were analyzed by using x2 test.Multiple factors of family endowment service were analyzed by using logistic regression.The scores of elderly caregivers in different conditions were analyzed by using non-parametric test.Multiple analysis was performed by using multiple linear regressionResults The results of pension demand of elderly people in Nanning city:(1)438(67.48%)elderly people chose the family pension.Age,occupation,spouse's or child's care,physical examination were influencing factors of family pension choice of the elderly;(2)Fighting against diseases were difficult because of the single source of income of the elderly;(3)the elderly people of the social network was single.The elderly mainly depended on the spouse or children.The results of elderly caregivers research in Nanning:(1)43.1% of respondents feel satisfaction in the process of care for the elderly.(2)56.73% of the respondents think that the family and the government had the responsibility of take care of the elderly.(3)The physical condition of the elderly affected the feeling of caregivers.Conclusions1?For the elderly,government and society need to consolidate the basic of family pension,broaden the social network of the elderly,concern about health problems of the elderly,change the elderly pension concept,develop community home care.2 ? For the elderly caregivers,the access of the elderly health care should be strengthen,qualified families would be encouraged to sign a family doctor,in order to sustainably manage the health of the elderly and reduce thepressure of the elderly caregivers...
