The Role Analysis Of Social Worker In The Cultivation Of Community Social Organization

With the development of society, the government has actively exploring in the innovation of social governance and transformation of administration model,popularizing the governance concept of "small government, big society". The government advocates enhancing the community service. As a new self-service and self-management organization, the community organization is being given more attention. It can encourage more people to join the cummunity activities and improve their enthusiasm ans ability. Because of the development of social work, social worker joins in community management and takes part in the cultivating of community organization, cooperating with neighborhood committee, forming the linkage model of “community, social worker and community organization”, to provide service for the community organizations. In the model, the social worker connects community ans community organizations, he or she should deal with the relationship among the three and perform different roles.As the professional service-provider, the social worker is an aggregation of multiple roles. In the practice, the social worker should be faced with different clients. In the different stage, he or she should handle different problems. At the process of cultivating the community organizations, the social worker should connect residenters, the community organizations, the neighborhood committee and other social groups. To analyse the role of social workers, we can knowledge the work they have done, definite the relationship among community organizations, the committee and social worker. On the base, we can make their responsibilit clear and provide materials for evaluation. At the sametime, the social worker can rethink the process and aummarize the the experience. Then the social worker can give suggestions for the cultivation of community organization, take the advantage of the profssion, and average up the community service.This thesis is based on my intern time practice on the Z block, researching on the role of social worker. The key point of the thesis is the role of social worker. Through giving the specific examples, I analyze the different roles of social worker in the process. I introduce seven roles in the thesis, the cultivator, co-operator, resource-finder, administrator, assistant and adviser. Then evaluating on the effect and method, including the rethink as a social worker, I summary the function of social worker in the cultivating of community organization. It is benefit for the development of community and the community organization, if social worker participate the cultivation. The thesis provides reference for the research of community organization ans role of social worker.
