John Rawls is one of the most outstanding thinkers in the field of western political philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century and a master of theories of social Justice. After A Theory of Justice and Political Liberalism,Rawls extended his theory of justice from the domestic society to the whole world in his lateryearbook The Law of Peoples. The Law of Peoples tries to explain the possibility of free and appropriate world society and extends the concept of "fairness and justice" arising from one country to the nation-state by using contractual argumentation so as to establish justice for the realization of global justice of the specification. This paper includes four chapters, which elaborate the background of Rawls' global justice, the connotation of global justice, the basic principles of global justice and the way to realize global justice. The first chapter focuses on the origin of the global justice from the background of the times and theoretical origins, especially the influence of Rawls' early justice theory on the global justice theory. The second chapter is deep into the connotation of global justice."The Law of peoples" among the free society, low human rights and political tolerance, and distributive justice are the main connotation of Rawls' global justice. The fourth chapter analyzes Rawls' three ways to achieve global justice: overlapping consensus, international public rationality and cooperative organization. At the end of this paper, through the study of The Law of Peoples, analyzes the positive meaning of global justice and its limitations. The systematic study of Rawls' Law of the People is a response to the increasingly global problems. The positive attitude in global justice theory has constructive significance to contemporary international relations and also provides a reference for China's foreign policy.
